Applicants must be resident in the UK at the time of application.
Applicants must be in the early stage of their career (e.g. PhD student, early-career industry scientist). Established professionals are not eligible.
The bursary covers conference attendance only, including:
Registration fee
All meals during the conference
Two nights’ accommodation
Travel costs are not included.
Successful applicants are expected to attend the entire conference programme, including all scientific sessions, social events, and CPD activities.
A supporting reference from your supervisor is required, confirming how you would benefit from the bursary. Applications without a reference will not be considered.
If awarded a bursary, you will be required to submit a 300-word impact statement reflecting on the benefits of attending the conference.
Applicants who are not awarded a bursary must pay the registration fee in order to attend the conference.
If you are awarded a bursary and:
fail to attend, or
cancel within 31 days of the conference start date,
you will be required to pay the full registration fee.
You must provide the email address of the person or organisation responsible for payment should you cancel within 31 days or fail to attend.
If you cancel a bursary within 31 days of the conference, you will not be eligible for future bursary awards.
